It's time to get ready for next year. Prepare yourself now to get a jump on the competition.
The Saxon Wrestling staff will conduct 2 camps over the 2009 summer. The first is for youth age kids and the next is for middle and high school age.

Saxon 152 lber David Helmer becomes All-American
Senior David Helmer becomes the first wrestling in Langley history to be named to the 2009 Wrestling USA All-American list. This honor is earned by David as he has finished his prep career in outstanding fashion. David finished with a record of 161-16, was a 2X Virginia State Champion, 4X Northern Region Champion, and 4X Liberty District Champion.
David is ranked the #1 152 lber in the state and 9th nationally. He will head of in the fall to Northwestern were he will continue his wrestling career on scholarship.
Congratulations David on a great career at Langley High School.
Saxon Wrestlers Make School History!

Congratulations to the Saxon grapplers for their post season accomplishments! Langley Wrestling has made school history! They have continued their dominance in the Liberty District by winning their 7th consecutive district championship. Anthony Kotoriy (aka Lonestar), Michael Bowman, Colin Zoski, David Helmer, and Malachy Morris all won individual district titles. Peter Dulany, Hilly Hicks, and Scott Jones finished as runnerups. Justin Miller finished 3rd and Matt Hozik picked up 4th. Congratulations to all of you for your outstanding team effort.
The biggest news of the year is that Langley won it's first ever Northern Region Championship. The season was full of surprises, ups and downs, but the record setting Saxons rallied through the season getting the experience they needed to climb their way to the top. Michael Bowman, Colin Zoski, David Helmer, and Malachy Morris all took home individual titles, while Lonestar placed 2nd and Peter Dulany took home 3rd. All will compete next weekend at the Virginia State Championships @ Robinson Secondary. Congratulations on a great performance!
